Role Description

The Spa Coordinator has overall responsibility for monitoring and cleaning the spa to include but not limited to the reception area, water pavilion, floatation room, changing room, and prep area.


Satisfying guest needs and exceeding their expectations by projecting a positive hotel image through proper grooming, appropriate verbal communication, and taking responsibility of guest needs
Conduct all spa tours and suggest recommendations on treatments
Reply to guests concerning all email bookings
Projecting a positive hotel image. Greet every guest by name
Coordinate with Spa Manager
Liaise with Spa Manager and delegate tasks to Senior Spa Therapists and Therapists
Coordinate with Therapists: guest arrival and name, type of treatments, time, room and special needs
Take ownership of scheduling and ensure that schedules are accurate
Keep Spa tidy and clean; make sure the facility is clean and everything is functioning properly, including steam room, sauna, cold plunge, Jacuzzi, floatation and soaking pool. Communication to the proper departments if these things are not working
Comply with all Amangiri policies and procedures
Ensure high confidentiality with any information learned about Amangiri guests
Review treatment rooms to ensure everything is organized and prepared for the day’s activities
Ensure that billing is done correctly and gift certificates are recorded properly
Liaise with Spa Reception on the day’s activities and communicate changes where necessary
Cover in the Spa Managers absence – attending meetings, checking emails and telephone messages. Take action on any guest issues that arise
Opening and closing tasks pertaining to the spa standard operating procedures
Make sure all linen is stocked and in its proper place

Role Requirements

Must have proficient computer skills with Excel, Word, the Internet, and other common programs
Must be detail oriented and familiar with common office procedures
